The Frenchman eager to start his new journey within the Superbike World Championship.

Randy De Puniet is ready to take on a new chapter of his racing career after joining Team Crescent Suzuki to contest his maiden season in the Superbike World Championship. “2015 will be an important year for me, moving to ride in the Superbike World Championship after spending 15 years in the GP class. Many things will be new for me - the bike, tyres, brakes, and having 2 races per weekend - but my motivation is very high. I have spent the past year developing a bike, which was a good experience for me, but now I’m impatient to race again! It’s nice to be a rookie again after so many years, because I won’t have a big pressure on my shoulders at the beginning.”

After so many years aboard prototype machines, De Puniet is happy to test his skills aboard the WSBK-spec GSX-R he already tried last week at Jerez. “The feeling is very good with the GSX-R1000” continued De Puniet. “We have, so far, only worked as a team for 4 days but I found Crescent to be very professional with lots of experience, and I felt immediately comfortable both with them and with the bike.

For De Puniet it is a little bit too early to talk about goals for 2015, given the little track time he has had so far on the team’s GSX-R. The Frenchman is nevertheless very confident about the upcoming season and he reckons consistency will be an important key to a successful season. “My goal is to give my best, to work hard to be consistent and to finish the championship in the best position possible,” he added.
